The serial number on the case and movement match. This is a exceptional ship's clock keeping time with a quartz comparison watch. It has a six inch 12 hour silvered brass dial in near new original condition, moon hands, and a small bit seconds hand over the center. It is housed in a large, heavy weight 7 1/4 inch forged brass case. The bezel screws on and off. CHELSEA is acid etched in black upper case letters within the seconds bit. The movement is an 8 day time only with a 9-jeweled escapement which appears new, and may account for its good timekeeping. The classic moon style hands are blued gun metal.
