Presented
is a stunning display using an actual resurrected 1939 outboard motor that had its external parts reconditioned, re-chromed
and polished, and then mounted on a panel with accompanying starter cord, spare prop and two cans of outboard oil. The panel,
i.e., backboard is of the type that was used to allow carrying the motor and supplies while hiking to a favorite lake. The
display works equally well mounted on the wall or standing on the floor. Hundreds
of hours have been lavished on making this a true work of American manufacturing art.
It is intended for "Display Only" and is not a running motor!

The Neptune, Junior Single outboard motor, later named
the Mighty Mite, used in this display was one of America's most famous outboards. They were built by the Muncie Gear
Works of Muncie, Indiana from the mid-1930's for approximately 60 years. In the mid 1950's, the motor was sold as the Mighty
Mite, becoming a historic American brand. It was based on a very simple inexpensive design that was small and light weight.
This 1.2 HP model dates from 1939 and weighs only 17 pounds. The entire display weighs 24 1/2 pounds. The starter cord, spare
prop, and two empty cans of outboard oil are included.
