PRE WW II U.S. NAVY ANCHOR BELL Marked U.S.N. This Great Bell Has Been Sold. Thank you! PRE WW II Polished & Lacquered Bell   Presented is an authentic US Navy Anchor bell that was made prior to WW II with the coverted U.S. N. marking.  It comes with a a inverted aluminum "J" bracket of our own design that has been powder coated, haze gray, and a fancy macramé bell rope. The display is mounted on an Ebony coated hardwood stand. It has its original clapper and and the special combined one piece nut and washer which is only found on authentic Navy bells. NOW IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND: U.S. Navy bells of this unique design are now almost impossible to find. The earlier bells with the unique beads near the top of the crown and the near the mouth date the bell to before WW II. Those marked U.S.N. are scacer still.   PROVENANCE: Luckily discovered by us in the Midwest.                                          3/4 Left front view       NAVY BELLS RING WITH DISTINCTION:There is nothing comparable to the sound of a Navy bell. The use of a special "bell metal" formula produces a clear, sharp ring and sets up a strong reverberation that has a strong resonance that once heard will never be forgotten. The original bracket, like many others was left with the ship. The inverted, haze gray bracket is made to our design. The bell has been newly polished and lacquered. The bell rings sharp and clear and resonates making a strong vibration typical of Navy bells.
