Presented is an historically
interesting collection of documents, certificates and records of a prominent sea
captain covering unique aspects of his career. All documents, many of which carry signatures
of important maritime personages, are
under glass. They are well preserved and provide an inside look at the workings
of a steamship line through the documents collected by one of its prominent captains.
Included is a beaver top hat
in excellent condition and carrying case dating back to the late
1800's.
