VINTAGE GERMAN 1 GAUGE ELECTRIC DEUTSCHE REICHSBAHN STEAM TRAIN SET FOR DISPLAY ONLY    LENGTH'S: Engine  15 1/4" X 6 1/2" x 3 5/8"    Tender 11" X 3 5/8"     Cars  18" X 3 5/8"      Height 6"   Maximum Width 3 5/8"   Dia. boggie wheels 1.0"    Dia. Drive wheels  2.10"  Inside Distance between wheels 38.4 mm or 1.51" gauge  Total Weight 12 3/4 Lbs.  A rare, high quality and interesting Gauge 1 electric model of the German DR 2C (4-6-0) Locomotive 382014 and four-axle Bogie Tender plus 2 two-axle 3rd Class and one 1st Class DR coaches. The locomotive with a brass boiler, and steel sides and chassis, and fitted with in-line motor and spar drive to rear axle. The engine and tender finished in black with red trim. The DR coaches built from metal roof, sides and frames with wood inner chassis have external and interior details including lighting and are finished in DR Moss green. The whole train being well proportioned and detailed for the 1950's - 60's.  Note: Even though all the cars are numbered "3", we submit that the car with framed opening windows is for 1st Class passengers.  No maker's markings. We have not tested the model and there is no representation that it will run. The motor is thought to require AC current. There are air vents missing from some of the roofs, and one coupler needs to be screwed in place. We are not train people so there may be other things of which we are unaware. Please inquire. This model is beleived to have been made at the end of WW II.
